ACTIVITIES OF THE CENTER
The State School Center for Education and Rehabilitation “Partenija Zografski” Skopje is a secondary vocational school for students with special educational needs (hearing impaired).
The Center carries out its activities in two purpose-built facilities: a school building and a student dormitory where students from other municipalities in the Republic of Macedonia are cared for.
The main activity of the Center is: education, upbringing, rehabilitation, professional and job training of students with hearing impairment from the Republic of Macedonia.
Educational work at the Center is carried out in the Macedonian language and Cyrillic script.
Pedagogical documentation and records are kept in the Macedonian language and Cyrillic script.
CENTER VERIFICATION
The Center was established by a decision of the Executive Council of the Republic of Macedonia No. 137 of 17.05.1955 as a Vocational School for Deaf Children. The classes were held in the building of the then Protective Workshop “Svetlost” – Skopje. Since 1975, the educational process has been taking place in the facilities in which the Center operates today. With the adoption of the Law on Social Protection of the Republic of Macedonia (“Official Gazette of the Republic of Macedonia No. 16/70”), the Center changed its name to the Center for Professional Rehabilitation of Hearing-Impaired Youth Skopje.
With the Statute of 01.11.1979 confirmed by the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia with decision No. 08-2683, the Center changes its name to the Center for Professional Rehabilitation of Hearing-Impaired Youth “25 Maj” Skopje.
Based on Article 39, paragraph 1, item 3, and in connection with Article 38, paragraph 2 of the Statute of the Center for Professional Rehabilitation of Hearing Impaired Youth “25 Maj” – Skopje, after the referendum held on February 27, 1995, the Workers’ Council of the Center adopted a Decision to change the name of the Center (Decision No. 04-64 of February 28, 1995) to the Center for Education and Rehabilitation “Partenija Zografski” Skopje.
By decision no. 11-562/3 of 22.05.1996, the Center was verified for the following professions and occupations (three-year education with four years of teaching):
mechanical profession – locksmith, metalworker, auto bodyworker
textile profession – clothing worker
woodworking – carpenter
graphic profession – printer and bookbinder
Based on the Law on Organization and Work of the Bodies of State Administration, the Law on Secondary Education and the Rulebook on Verification of Secondary Schools and Keeping the Register, the Ministry of Education and Science adopted decision no. 09-343/3 of 04.02.2002 on verification of experimental teaching according to the program for Reformed Secondary Vocational Education and Training in the Republic of Macedonia for the educational profiles locksmith-welder, metalworker from the mechanical profession and clothing worker from the textile profession with four-year duration for three-year education.
From 24.04.2008 the Center changed its name to the State School Center for Education and Rehabilitation “Partenija Zografski” Skopje.
With decision no. 11-316/5 of 21.06.2011 of the Ministry of Education and Science, verification of the conditions for the implementation of the Curriculum and Program in a four-year education with a duration of five years for the educational profile of mechanical technician under the mechanical profession and garment technician from the textile-leather profession was carried out.
