The planning of activities in all areas as well as the effects expected from their implementation largely depend on and are in accordance with the conditions in the Center, i.e. the resources at its disposal, such as material, technical, human, personnel, financial and general conditions in the local environment. The Center meets the criteria and norms for space, equipment, teaching and visual aids.
To carry out its activities, the State School Center for Education and Rehabilitation “Partenija Zografski” – Skopje has two purpose-built facilities (school building and student dormitory) with a total area of 5272 m2 and a spacious school yard.
School building
The school building in which the educational part of the Center’s activities is carried out has an area of 4102m2. It houses 14 classrooms and 4 offices with a total area of 884m2. All classrooms and offices are equipped with the necessary inventory as well as the necessary didactic tools and aids for modern teaching of each subject.
In addition to the classrooms and offices, the school building also has the following purpose-built spaces:
– a library with a reading room (46m2), with a book fund of 2000 books;
– three laboratory offices (172m2) for conducting exercises in natural science subjects and vocational subjects;
– a gymnasium with auxiliary rooms with an area of 300m2.
– an office for teaching Informatics equipped with 13 personal computers and a printer.
-three workshops (mechanical, textile and woodworking) for the implementation of practical teaching content, with an area of 300m2;
-teacher’s office with an area of 100m2.
-six administrative rooms with an area of 154m2
– seven apartments for accommodation of guests, pupils and students
Student dormitory
For accommodation and meals for students from the interior of the Republic of Macedonia, as well as for other extracurricular activities, the Center has a dormitory with an area of 1170m2.
The dormitory is equipped with the following purpose-built rooms:
-56 bedrooms, most of which have four beds, but some of them are double, triple, five-bed and multi-bed rooms, with a total area of 768m2. Each bedroom is equipped with the necessary inventory to meet the needs of the students. The accommodation capacity of the dormitory and the accommodation capacity in the school building is for about 220 users. Other rooms available at the dormitory:
– kitchen for preparing food for students with a dining room
– storage space for storing food
– three study rooms for afternoon classes
– three offices for educators
– event hall and TV room
– shelter and other auxiliary rooms;
– seven bathrooms with toilets
– laundry
– wireless internet access at any time
In addition to hearing-impaired students, the dormitory accommodates regular students from other secondary schools in the city of Skopje, students from faculties in the city of Skopje, displaced persons and other guests of the Center.
This year, as in previous years, the Center will accommodate high school students who study in schools in the immediate vicinity, as well as students from several universities. Weekend shifts by teachers and educators will continue to be held in the dormitory.
The Center has a spacious school yard with an area of 25,000 m2, most of which is landscaped and greened. A sports playground with an area of 1,000 m2 has been built in the yard of the Center.
The heating of both buildings is with central heating. For security reasons, both buildings are equipped with video surveillance.
Teaching aids and aids
During the lessons, students will use textbooks for secondary education that were provided by the Government of the Republic of Macedonia this school year.
The lessons are conducted in modern classrooms equipped with a color TV receiver, video recorder, computer for each student and printer. From the implemented project of the Government of the Republic of Macedonia – a computer for each student, computers have been installed in each classroom and in the rooms in the dormitory where the afternoon class is held. Their application creates opportunities for increasing the clarity of the lessons, and thus a better quality education for students with hearing impairment.
Following the trends of modernization of the labor market, the Center is focused on covering the needs of the vocational part of the lessons. In terms of equipping the vocational part of the lessons, i.e. the workshops of mechanical and textile professions where the practical part of the vocational education is realized, the Center is working to equip them. The textile workshop is continuously being equipped for the successful implementation of practical training and is currently well equipped with:

semi-automatic electric ironing press
industrial steam iron
industrial overlock with five threads
industrial overlock with four threads – two machines
ordinary overlock with three threads
industrial button sewing machine
electric tailoring machine – two
industrial embroidery machine
This state of equipment in the textile workshop will be continuously monitored and improved in accordance with the modern demands of the labor market. The practical training teacher organizes visits to textile workshops throughout the year in order to fully familiarize themselves with the production process.
The machine workshop is equipped with the necessary equipment and tools for the practical part of the teaching for the first and second year students and it is realized in it, while the third, fourth and fifth year students realize the practical part of the teaching in the plants of the surrounding companies, namely Agro-service, Makpetrol – tema, WABTEC, in accordance with the occupation they have chosen. The Center’s tendency is to improve the condition of the machine workshop in order to fully realize the practical teaching in it.
